#6, little tricky. Went with minimal info, Emergency Checklist says Fuel Boost On, then monitor for continued (or not) illumination, then land as soon as possible. Got it!
How is one supposed to fly the missed approach procedure of a GPS approach as published if the GPS has gone through a complete failure? There are distances and GPS waypoints as part of that MAP that will be impossible to follow without a working GPS. Yes I would climb to the recommended altitude and make turns as able but I would think that the procedure would be impossible to follow without a working GPS. Take for example the RNAV 04 approach into KEWN. “Climb to 2000 direct Jidom and hold” Of course I would climb to 2000 but I could not go direct to Jidom nor could I hold there if I didn’t have a working GPS.
in regards to question #3 I agree with the comments above. If GPS fixes are required in the missed you can’t fly it without a working GPS.
Question #6 answer is also incorrect. The amount of time you have before engine fuel starvation depends on power setting. Its not always 5 minutes. It could be as little as 90 sec. up to 9 minutes depending on power Settings. 1 component of the “fuel reservoir low” light emergency procedures is fuel boost on. Also Fuel on both and Ignition on. (FBI).
